LEON Casino NZ Terms and Conditions

These are the rules that apply when you play at LEON Casino NZ. They cover your account, deposits and withdrawals, bonuses, gameplay and the responsible gambling tools, and they apply to every domain, website and platform that the operator runs under the LEON brand, including this one. The full text is version 1.13 of LEON's Terms and Conditions; this page sets out the points players most often need to check. Separate game rules apply to individual games, and each promotion has its own campaign terms.

Accepting and Updating These Terms

By registering an account at LEON Casino you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these terms. They are not fixed for ever. When a provision changes, the new version comes into force as soon as it is published on our websites, and if you keep playing after that, you are treated as having accepted it. If you do not agree with an updated version, stop using the service.

You are also responsible for making sure that online gambling is legal where you live before you take part.

One Account Per Player

Each player may register only one account, and that single account works across all of our products. Opening a second account is prohibited, whether it happens on purpose or by accident. If we detect multiple or linked accounts in your name or associated with you, all of them are closed immediately. Funds in accounts opened in breach of this rule, including deposits, may be forfeited, and any winnings or bonuses gained through duplicate or linked accounts are void. We may, at our discretion, refund the net deposited balance of a duplicate account after deducting voided winnings and bonuses.

Your account is personal. Transferring it to someone else, or sharing it, breaks these terms and leads to the account being locked and its balance withheld.

Age Requirement

You must be 18 or over to open an account. We run routine identity and age checks. If an account turns out to belong to someone under the legal age, it is suspended immediately, all pending deposits and withdrawals are frozen, and any winnings or bonuses are void. The net amount deposited, excluding winnings, is refunded to the original payment method as soon as practicable.

Verification

After registering, every player must complete verification by sending a scanned copy or colour digital photo of one official identity document:

  • a national ID card;
  • a passport;
  • a driving licence.

Details are in Settings, under Account Verification. Verification confirms that the account is yours and is required before you can withdraw. We may ask for further documents if those already supplied are not sufficient, for example a photo of you holding your passport, or a utility bill. In some cases we also review an account's playing activity; that review can take up to 30 working days, and payments from the account are suspended while it runs.

You must keep your details up to date, including your address and the bank or e-wallet accounts you use, and provide a valid email address. Deliberately false information is a breach of these terms.

Inactive Accounts

An account becomes dormant after 12 continuous months without any activity started by you. A dormant account is not closed, is not charged fees and is not emptied: your balance stays where it is, and logging in reactivates the account. When you come back, verification must be complete before any withdrawal is paid.

Deposits, Withdrawals and Limits

You can fund your account with the methods available to you on the website, which include credit and debit cards, e-wallets and vouchers. The minimum deposit is 1 unit of your account currency or the limit set by the payment service provider, whichever is greater. Each method's limits, processing times and security checks are shown on the deposit screen when you are logged in. New Zealand dollars are one of the supported account currencies; where a conversion is needed, it is made at the prevailing rate notified by the European Central Bank or the central bank of the issuing country.

Every payment method must be registered in your name. Withdrawals go back to an eligible method, normally the one you deposited with, and an e-wallet you have not deposited from can be refused in favour of the one you used. If you deposit with a one-way method that does not support payouts, or with a bank card or certain instant-payment platforms, you must wager the full deposited amount before requesting a withdrawal.

Withdrawals follow a tiered policy based on your cumulative deposit history and risk profile. The Terms state the tiers in euro:

Tier Who it applies to Maximum withdrawal
Tier 1: New/Low Deposits Cumulative deposits below €500 €250 per week / €1,000 per month
Tier 2: Standard Users Cumulative deposits between €500 and €5,000 €500 per week / €2,000 per month
Tier 3: High Value Users Cumulative deposits above €5,000 or VIP status €1,000 per week / €4,000 per month, or by arrangement

Players are assigned to a tier automatically, and the operator may reclassify an account or apply additional checks before a withdrawal is processed.

Deposit Commission for Low Activity

This condition is unusual, so read it carefully. When you withdraw, we may withhold a commission of 5% of the sum of your deposits if the gaming activity on your account is lacking or insufficient. In sports betting, activity can be treated as insufficient when you bet at odds lower than 1.6. In practice, depositing and withdrawing without genuinely playing, or betting only on very short odds, can cost you 5% of what you deposited. The same 5% commission may also be withheld when an account is permanently blocked for fraud.

How Bonuses Are Structured

Sports bonuses and casino bonuses run on separate systems with separate rules, so a condition that applies to one does not automatically apply to the other. Every promotion also has its own campaign terms, which set the period, activation steps and wagering requirement. You can take part in only one casino bonus campaign at a time, and while a casino bonus is being wagered you cannot join another. You may opt out through "My Bonuses" in your profile, but opting out cancels the bonus money and any progress towards wagering it.

Free Bets

A Free Bet must be used as a single stake; it cannot be split across several bets. If a Free Bet wins, your net winnings are the payout minus the Free Bet stake, because the stake itself was never your money. Multipliers, qualifying odds and validity periods for sports bonuses differ from one campaign to the next, so check the specific terms of each offer.

Wagering Requirements and Game Contribution

For casino bonuses, only bets in the Slots and Live Casino sections count towards wagering. Different game categories count at different rates:

Game category Contribution
Slots 100%
Jackpots 100%
Other eligible games 100%
Live Casino 10%
Video Poker 5%

Some titles count at 70% and others at 0%; the full list is in the casino rules. Bets in sports, instant-win and table categories, among others, do not count at all.

A worked example: if a campaign gives you a NZ$100 bonus with a 30x requirement, you need to place NZ$3,000 in eligible bets before the bonus can move to your Main balance. NZ$100 staked on slots counts as NZ$100, while the same NZ$100 on video poker counts as only NZ$5. The wagering widget in "My Account" shows how much is left.

Maximum Bet and Bonus Expiry

While you are wagering a casino bonus, the maximum bet is 5 € unless the campaign states otherwise, and exceeding it puts the bonus at risk. Buying in-game bonus features or Free Spins during wagering is prohibited, as is betting on opposite outcomes in Live Casino and table games.

Each bonus must be wagered within the period set in its campaign terms; if the requirement is not met in time, the bonus and any winnings from it can be forfeited. Once a bonus is wagered, claim it from "My Account": wagered bonus funds that are not claimed within 30 days may be written off. Check every deadline before you opt in.

Bonus Abuse Restrictions

Bonus eligibility is checked per account, household, email address and IP address, so a second account, a shared device or a family member's earlier claim can make you ineligible or lead to a bonus being reversed. Players suspected of cheating can be excluded from the bonus programme, and their accounts closed.

Responsible Gambling Controls and Support

Every account can set daily, weekly or monthly deposit limits and wagering limits from the account profile. A limit can be lowered at any time, but it cannot be lifted before the end of the period it was set for. Setting a 0 deposit limit for six months is a temporary self-exclusion that cannot be removed early; setting it indefinitely is a permanent self-exclusion. You can also request self-exclusion in writing from support. More detail is on our Responsible Gambling page.

Independent help is available too. LEON links to a self-assessment quiz from the Responsible Gambling Council, and in New Zealand the Gambling Helpline offers free support 24 hours a day on 0800 654 655 or by text to 8006.
